Harlow Financial Associates

Led by Chartered Financial Consultant Stephen Harlow, Harlow Financial Associates offers financial services plus a full range of investment and financial estate planning services.  The company’s office is located at 104A Hill Street in Saco, Maine.

A large part of Harlow Financial Associates business is dealing with employee-sponsored retirement plans as well as individual IRA accounts and pension rollovers. “With our busy work and family lives, it is often hard to spend the necessary time researching all the data that is out there,” said Harlow.  “That’s where we come in.”

Harlow Financial Associates provides extensive research for their clients and are always on the outlook for favorable trends.  “The best investment opportunities today may not be the best opportunities twelve months from now,” said Harlow.  “We constantly re-balance or reposition portfolios while seeking the right risk to reward ratio for each of our clients.”

In April of 2008, Mr. Harlow relocated his office from Waterboro, where he has lived since 1980, to Saco.  Mr. Harlow, his wife Valancy, and his son Cameron, split their time residing in their Lake house in North Waterboro, Maine and in their refurbished 1867 Farm house in Saco, Maine.

Active in the community, Mr. Harlow is a long-standing member of the Waterboro Parks and Recreation Committee and a coach for youth sports.  A 1975 graduate of the University of Maine, Harlow went on to earn his Master’s Degree from UMO and the advanced ChFC designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.  He was a teacher and coach at the high school and collegiate levels before turning his efforts to the financial field in 1990.

“The bottom line is we want to help people to feel confident about their financial position in life,” stated Harlow, who has over 20 years experience in financial counseling.  In an effort to better provide the right approach for each client’s needs, Harlow Financial Associates works with more than 30 life insurance, long-term disability and long-term care companies as well as many investment service companies offered through his Broker-Dealer, USA Financial Securities.

“There isn’t a cookie cutter approach to financial consulting.  Everyone’s situation is different.  We try to bring the best products to fit the needs of the individual client,” said Harlow.
